Looking for painting projects

I take a multitude of pictures and that is probably why I purchase a lot of batteries for my camera.  Yikes-they are expensive!!!

I need some painting ideas – I am working on some pink geraniums now and I just finished a rooster.  Next up will be either a landscape or a butterfly.  I love to do butterflies-I usually give them as gifts.

I thought I would share some pictures with you and maybe you can “vote” on the next original watercolor.

I will see if there are any comments.  I will share the finished product—just remember I am as slow painting as I am with everything else in my life…….

Such the joy of advanced aging!

I will number these one, two, etc.

ONE

TWO

I had never noticed the reflection in the mirror.  Pretty cool?

Three

P.S.  I have NO IDEA who these people are.  I just liked the way they look.

Four

I don’t like the street part in the lower right hand corner—I would probably paint sand or grasses.

Five

I can’t find my butterfly pictures………They are in Picasa some where……I had the file and then hit the Wrong button………

So pick from these four and when I find the butterflies---I will show them to you and I can paint that later.

So there are five choices.  I would love to hear from you about which one to do next.  Remember, my medium is water color.

See you in a few!

  1. Hi! I love water and lighthouses...so I my vote would be for the lighthouse with sand or water instead of the street. I do however love the flowers as well. I'd love to see your final result.

Thanks for your visit. We are looking forward to visiting Biltmore. We drove through Asheville years ago and drove out to the mansion but didn't have time to tour. We don't have reservations yet. I've been working on that. Believe it or not, we have never stayed in a B&B although we are frequent travelers. We aren't sure that we want to have to "play nice with others" when we travel. I'm not quite sure how I'd feel about sharing a breakfast table with other people and we have to a have a television in our room (which I know many B&Bs have now). I guess we have just been a bit afraid to try something so different for us, but we aren't completely against the idea.

This trip we have to have reservations that we can cancel. With my mother-in-law ill, anything could happen. I'm almost afraid to plan a trip at all, but we hope she will still be doing well.
